History

ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ purchased Bridge Street House in 1987 and renovated the building in 2017. Bridge Street House is located on the corner of Union Street and Bridge Street, across from the Simon Center.

History

Charter Hall was the first building constructed completely by the College in 1962 and was named in honor of the early trustees’ efforts to get a charter for the College from the State of New Hampshire. Charter Hall includes the Charter Coffeehouse, an outdoor patio facing the quad lawn, and a dance studio. The building was renovated in 2012.
Charter Hall is located on the quad side of campus, between the River Lot and the quad lawn.

History

Colby Hall, built in 1964 as a women’s dormitory, is now a co-ed residence. It is comprised of five connected towers that make up one building. Colby Hall is located next to the Simon Center and is the closest building to Gilmore Dining Hall.

History

Connor Hall was built in 1964 as a men’s dormitory and is now a co-ed residence. It is the only Henniker residence hall dedicated to first-year students. Connor Hall is located on the quad side of campus between Charter Hall and Campus Safety.

History

ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ purchased the apartments at 20 Main Street in 2018. These apartments are still considered on-campus housing but allow students some of the independence found off campus. Contoocook House is located directly across the street from the Administration Building, and the back side of the building overlooks the Contoocook River.

History

East Hall was built in 1970 and renovated in 2014. It is the only residence hall with climate controlled heating and cooling. It is located on the quad side of campus between Charter Hall and the Wellness Center.

History

Fitch House was purchased by ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ in 1970 and was renovated in 2017. The barn portion of the building continues to be used as the photo studio. Fitch House is located on Bridge Street, across from Davis House and the Danforth Library.

History

Lewin House was purchased by ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ in 1961 and was renovated as a residence hall in 2017. The House’s large covered front porch allows students to gather outside. It is located on the corner of Union Street and Bridge Street and is directly across from the Simon Center.

History

Rowe is located a short walk from the Administration Building and offers an off-campus feel with the convenience of on-campus housing. Rowe is nearly all single rooms and is most popular among upper class and graduate students, however first year students can live in Rowe as well. Rowe House is located on Western Avenue.

History

Sanborn House was originally an old farmhouse that ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥ converted into a residence hall. Sanborn House is located on Rush Road, a short walk from the Administration Building. It offers an off-campus feel with the convenience of on-campus housing.

History

Union Hall, built in 1988,  contains our primarily upper-class theme-suite housing. Each suite works with an on-campus advisor on a chosen theme and offers experiential programming to bring their theme to the broader student body. Students apply to live in Union before room selection each spring. Union House is located on the quad side of campus and sits on Union Street between Campus Safety and the Wellness Center.

History

West Hall was built in 1970. West is closest residence hall to Bridges Gymnasium, the Lee Clement Arena, and the Turf Fields, making it a popular choice for athletes. West Hall is located between Colby Hall and Bridges Gym and faces the Simon Center lawn.
